Getting Started
Your first week with Esqio.
Download the Esqio installer from your welcome email. On macOS, drag Esqio to your Applications folder. On Windows, run the installer and follow the prompts. Sign in with your work email — the companion connects to your integrations automatically.
Esqio spends the first 24–48 hours observing your work patterns and learning your matter portfolio. You'll see draft entries begin appearing in your timesheet starting day one, with accuracy improving rapidly as the AI picks up your firm's conventions.
Admins can invite users from Settings → Team. SSO customers can provision users automatically through SCIM from Okta, Azure AD, or Google Workspace.
Integrations
Connect Esqio to your existing tools.
In Settings → Integrations, click "Connect" next to Outlook or Gmail. You'll be redirected to sign in and grant Esqio read permissions (read-only; Esqio never sends or modifies emails on your behalf).
For Clio, MyCase, and PracticePanther, use OAuth — you'll log into your practice management system and grant Esqio access to matter data and time entries. Setup takes under 2 minutes.
Yes. Any integration can be paused or disconnected from Settings → Integrations at any time. Paused integrations stop receiving data immediately.
Billing Workflow
From captured time to sent invoice.
Your daily review queue lives under Timesheets. Esqio groups entries by confidence level — high-confidence items can auto-approve per your rules, and the rest need a quick glance. Typical daily review takes under 10 minutes.
Esqio exports approved time in LEDES 1998B, 1998BI, 98BI V2, and XML 2.1 formats. Configure export templates per client in Settings → Billing.
Rejections flow back into Esqio and become training data for that client's future entries. Over time, the model learns each client's specific preferences automatically.
Admin & Security
Controls for IT and firm administrators.
In Settings → Security, enable SSO and choose your provider (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, or custom SAML). You'll be guided through metadata exchange. Once enabled, password login can be disabled firm-wide.
Audit logs are under Settings → Security → Audit Log. Every sign-in, data access, and admin action is recorded. Enterprise customers can stream logs to their SIEM via webhook.
From Settings → Team → [user] → Delete Data. Data deletion is permanent after a 30-day grace period (during which you can restore). All integrations for that user are disconnected immediately.
